Formula Simracing 2021: a review

A strong first full FSR season for us, as we secure 4th in the ACA standings.

One year ago, Valle joined Formula Simracing for the last 3 rounds of the season to try to build some experience and to prepare for 2021. In the end, no one of the 2020 drivers stayed in our lineup for this year – with former driver Damian Skowron winning the ACA drivers title driving for Ground Effect – but our results were still very satisfying.

Academy

Academy has been our main focus this year, with us joining just ACA and AMA at the start of the year.

In the second half of the season, we managed to get back on track with our results, and some additions to our lineup helped us gaining three places in the standings in the final 6 rounds – scoring 101 points in the process.

We went close to a podium in Azure, but we got one in the final race of the year, as reserve driver Mirco Mancini won at Interlagos.

We are really happy with our ACA campaign, and we hope to be able to keep improving and challenge for the title next year.

Pro

Our PRO 2021 campaign was mainly a way for us to get experience in the bag for next season, in similar fashion to what we did in ACA last year.

Chris Gitsov brought the car back on the grid in Japan, scoring 2 points, while Frank Hamming stepped up for the season finale, finishing in 9th and setting the fastest lap in Brazil.

Amateur

In AMA, our drivers had some unlucky races in the second half of the season, but we still managed to get another podium, thanks to Sean Jones, who finished 3rd at Azure.

Attendance dropped a bit, but overall, our AMA drivers had a fairly decent season.

Our plans for 2022

We are very pleased with how our 2021 season shaped up, and we will be back next year with lineups in PRO, ACA and with drivers in AMA too.

Down below, you can find our points tally in the two team-based divisions:

Academy
P4 – 157 pts

Pro
P9 – 10 pts
