GPVWC FC 2021: a review

This week, we completed our second GPVWC season in the Formula Challenge series. After 7 months, 16 rounds and 32 races, we can now look to what has been a fairly decent year in the league.

First of all, a few numbers.

  • 282. That’s the amount of points we scored in 2021 – 192 more than our 2020 points tally.
  • 10 drivers raced for Valle this season: 4 as primary, 6 as emergency drivers.
  • After getting our first podium in the league in our debut season, in 2021 we had our first GPVWC win thanks to Andrew Waring.
  • In total, we finished the season with 3 wins, 7 podiums, 1 pole position and 2 fastest laps.

With these numbers, we finish the season in 6th place. After how the first half of the year went we were expecting to keep the fight for 3rd place alive, but sadly some unforeseen events made us drop a bit.

It has been a good season regardless. We want to thank everyone who has raced for us, has helped us or has supported us this season – now, the plan is to leave Formula Challenge and start our journey in Supercup, but we’ll have to wait and see the divisions teams listings at the end of the year.
