Valle 2023 livery for GPVWC

Top 6 in our debut GPVWC Superlights season

A decent debut season for Valle in Superlights. After a difficult 2022 season in Formula Sprint 1, we decided to go up to GPVWC’s second tier, and it turned out to be the right move.

With a starting lineup consisting of Michael Eyres and Stavros Mouzaidis, we had a strong start of the season, with consistent points scored in each round. We sadly got one of our cars disqualified in round 1, and that meant reserve driver Massimiliano Ribolli was the only car scoring points that day.

In the final stages of the season, Eyres stepped down to shift his focus to iRacing – replacing him for the last five rounds we had Alessandro Maggio – already a mainstay in our FSR Academy lineup – and David Wassermann. Eyres was still the only driver able to score a podium finish, and was unlucky to not get more after being crashed out on the last lap at Baku.

In the end, the round 1 DQ was decisive for our top 5 chances. We had to settle for P6 in the standings, still a good result on our first season in the division. With 183 points scored and a consistent presence in the top 5, we’ve surely set strong foundations for our SL2 future.

For 2024, we will remain in Superlights, with Alessandro Maggio getting promoted to a primary role after an amazing cameo in the latter stages of the season. Announcement about the full lineup will come in the coming weeks.
