Valle GPVWC 2022 livery

Livery and lineup ready ahead of GPVWC 2022 season

This week, another important chapter starts, as we will be on the Formula Sprint 1 (formerly known as Supercup) grid for the first time, after spending two seasons in Formula Challenge.

After getting confirmation about our promotion from FC to FS1, it didn’t take long to get our lineup sorted, in contrast with the previous two campaigns.

Gijs Sonneveld keeps his seat for 2022, after some promising displays in his 2021 Supercup reserve drives. Gijs has been with us since 2020 and his committment to our team deserved to be rewarded. The Dutchman will enter this GPVWC season as our third driver with most race starts for the team (27) and as our second with most podiums (9), and will drive car #10.

Joining him, we are delighted to welcome Vincent Gutt. The German arrives to Valle after a strong 2021 Supercup season, scoring points in almost every race and getting a podium finish at Melbourne driving for Red Arrow Racing. Vincent has shown his skill in preseason already and is eager to get started. He will drive car #79.

Helping the team with setup development, we have Remco De Zeeuw – a Valle mainstay nowadays. Remco will provide invaluable help to Vincent and Gijs, and has already helped the team to achieve wins and podiums in other series.

For round 1, Gijs won’t be available due to him being on vacation, so driving as an emergency driver we have experienced Swiss driver David Jundt. David is well known in the rF2 scene and has scored big points in his reserve races in Supercup last year.

Now, moving to the car. We left it late this year, but we are so happy about our 2022 livery. More black compared to our previous liveries, with some red accents too. Something a bit different, and we are sure we will be easily spottable on track during races.

Season will start on March 3rd at Imola, after taking part in preseason testing two weeks ago in Sochi.
