Valle FSR car for 2022 at Imola

Valle to continue racing in FSR for a third consecutive year

After joining the series in the latter stages of the 2020 season, Formula Simracing has probably become our main series. Having kept just 1 of the original 4 drivers from the 2020 lineup (with Damian Skowron now racing in WC with Burst), you can see how big of a change the team has gone through.

After a pretty decent 2021 campaign, we are happy to announce we will be on the grid again in 3 divisions – PRO, Academy and Amateur.

Last year, we had our first full season in the Academy division, where we finished in a good 4th place overall. This year, we are going for our first full season in PRO.

This is a huge step in our FSR plan, ahead of even bigger things for 2023. When we join a series, we want to compete for good results, so we wanted to build a lineup that can achieve that. Our first signing for PRO was Frank Hamming: Frank has been with us since the end of 2020 racing in other series, and after taking part in the PRO final round in 2021 as a reserve, we didn’t took long to get him in for this year. Joining him in one of the other two cars we have Chris Gitsov: the Bulgarian is entering his third season with us and has been such an important figure on and off track. With two drivers sorted before the winter came, we wanted to add at least one more driver: this one took a big longer, as the move materialised just one week before round 1, but it’s a big one regardless: for the third spot, Sergio Fletcher is already targeting big things for this campaign. Having achieved top 5 finishes in both ACA and PRO in the last 2 years, we are delighted to have him on board.

In Academy, we want to push to improve even more and challenge for the title. Half of the lineup remains unchanged from 2021: Peter Vagapov stays after some strong showings both in FSR and in other series, as well as Dan-Ove Brantholm, who wants to keep his reputation as consistent points scorer. For the other two spots, we have a familiar face and a new signing. After a promising AMA season in 2021, Sofie Jones gets promoted in the ACA lineup for 2022, while we are also pleased to welcome Dmitry Zaharov into the squad after 2 years of good results in the division.

AMA division is where we decided to give a chance to plenty of new people. Alex Hallows remains in the team after a strong season, and he’s already targeting ACA through prequalifying, while Ryan Mazumder will join the squad during the season. For the rest of the lineup, we have new faces: Romulo Silveira and Eliezer Nunes have shown promising pace in preseason, as well as Thornton Thomas, who will go for ACA preQ immediately. Taylor Lane returns to FSR after 3 years, and won’t stay in AMA for long. Completing the lineup we have Gerd Haase and Kristopher Assing, who are looking forward to get some invaluable experience in their first rF2 league season.

Season will start at Imola on February 27th.
