After a promising debut season, we decided to make some important changes to our VEC plans.
First of all, we decided to switch classes, moving from LMP2 to DPi in order to push for promotion to the main division with a very capable lineup.
With this major change, we also made some changes to our lineup. Being forced to field just a single entry, after #335 wasn’t able to take part in the Le Mans 24h last season, we made the decision to be very selective in the process of choosing drivers for the season.
Just a single driver will keep his seat from last season’s squad. We planned on keeping two, but sadly Daniele Primavera decided to stop with simracing, a decision we respect completely. We can only say nice things about him, he’s been vital to settling into VEC and he’s part of the squad that took our first ever VEC win. We wish him all the best.
Our lineup for S15 will consist of Janson Bintz, Stavros Mouzaidis and new signing Michael Eyres.
We are delighted with our squad for this year, and we think we have the potential to move to division 1 after the preseason race. Janson and Stavros have impressed in endurance and formula racing respectively, while Michael has raced at the very top on rFactor 2 for years now.
We’ll start our second VEC season with the Monza preseason race on the 20th of August, with round 1 (Monza 6h) taking place the week after.
