A difficult debut season for Valle in the Formula Simracing World Championship. Racing against the best teams and drivers on the platform was always going to be a challenge, but we are proud to have been a part of the 2023 season.
We scored points in 7 rounds out of 9, with the best result being a 12th place in Barcelona thanks to Giordano Valeriano. Giordano scored points in four races, being unlucky to not score more. The Italian sadly retired 4 times, mostly due to crashes. Stavros Mouzaidis ended the season with five top 20 results, finishing P16 in three occasions.
We end the season in P14 out of 15 with 39 points. Giordano finishes the campaign in P22 with 21 points, with Stavros ending 3 points behind in P26.
We want to express our gratitude to both drivers for making our end goal become a reality. The FSR WC dream has been alive even before Valle was a thing, and to see our yellow cars competing against the likes of Ferrari, Alpine and Race Clutch was incredible.
In our bid to regroup for 2024, we won’t be on the WC grid next year. It’s a difficult decision, but one that makes sense to get the team in a better place. We will be focusing more on PRO, with plans for a full lineup for the first time since joining FSR in 2020, and we’ll try to win our second Academy title.
That means we will say goodbye to both Giordano and Stavros, who we wish all the best for their future endeavours.
