After our second consecutive promotion, we are delighted to reveal our livery and our lineup for the 2023 GPVWC Superlights season.
This will be our first season in an upgrade-based series, in what will be one of our biggest challenges yet. That’s why we pushed to have everything sorted at the earliest opportunity, after a rather disappointing 2022 campaign in Formula Sprint 1.
Michael Eyres will be one of our primary drivers. Eyres joined Valle last summer ahead of the new VEC season and has proved to be one of our best ever signings. With 5 wins and 9 podiums in Superlights already (plus 1 more podium in Superleague), it was an easy decision to get him on board for 2023. Michael will drive our #33 car.
Joining him as primary driver we have Stavros Mouzaidis. Our Greek is a mainstay in the team now, having joined Valle in April 2022. Since then, Stavros took part in our FSR Academy title-winning season, being instrumental in our final result, while also impressing in his debut in GPVWC after replacing Sonneveld in our FS1 lineup. Stavros will drive car #92.
Team owner Massimiliano Ribolli will be our test/reserve driver. Massimiliano will take part in the test sessions to get the R&D points we need to upgrade our cars during the season.
Our season will start next week with the two Preseason Test sessions, in preparation for round 1 at Imola on the 7th of March.
